Ice Cream Party Games
And Activities The Whole
Family Can Enjoy
We have some great ideas for party games
that are sure to be a hit with your friends and family. So, if you want to have fun with ice cream, you've come to the right place.
Change Traditional Games
To Fit Your Theme
Whether you are planning an ice cream party or just want to play some fun party games with your family,
it's really simple to take traditional games and modify them to fit your theme.
For example, with young kids, you could play
Pin the Cherry on the Sundae instead of Pin the Tail on the Donkey.
Or...
Hot Fudge Sundae instead of Hot Potato.
The list of possibilities is only limited by your imagination.
Ice Cream Party Games
~Pin The Cherry On The Sundae~
You'll need a picture of an ice cream sundae without a cherry and a paper cherry for each person playing.
Each person tries to get the cherry on the very top of the sundae while blindfolded.
~Hot Fudge Sundae~
This is played like Hot Potato.
Choose an item to represent a hot fudge sundae. You could use a picture of one
OR a bowl with clean socks rolled into balls and topped with brown felt cut to look like hot fudge.
Sit in a circle and pass the sundae around while music plays.
(If you can, use a song that sounds like music from an ice cream truck.)
When the music is stopped, the person holding the sundae is out. Keep playing until there's only one person left...the winner!
~Ice Cream Sundaes~
In this game you roll a die and build real ice cream sundaes to eat! (This is one of my favorite ice cream games.)
To make a die:
Use a plain wooden block from a craft store. With a permanent marker, print instructions 1-6 on all sides
(Or use a regular die and just print out instructions 1-6 on a piece of paper for all to see.) If you roll a 6, you follow the directions for number 6.
Print on all sides of block:
1-Put a cherry on top
2-Add some chocolate syrup
3-All pass bowl to the left
4-Pick the sundae you want
5-Put whipped cream on top
6-Add one topping you like
Each person starts out with a bowl of ice cream.
Set a timer for 3 to 5 minutes (play quickly as ice cream tends to melt).
Take turns rolling the die and following the directions. When time is up, the bowl in front of you is yours to eat.
